Zoey's Check-Up

Zoey had her 18 month check up this morning...even though she'll be 21 months in 6 days. She received 2 shots...yuck...but she was very brave. Dr Day says she's very healthy and he made a comment that she is going to be very tall. He said the rule of thumb is that a child will typically be twice as tall as they are at the age of 24 months. As of today, she will be about 5'9"...and we still have 3 months until she's two. Here are her stats...
height: 34.5in (90%)
weight: 26lbs, 3.2oz (60%)
And if you're wondering about the outfit in the picture...a wonderful friend of ours passes on all of her daughter's clothes to Zoey once she outgrows them. We have so much fun going through all the boxes of "new" clothes. And Zoey has gotten to the age that dressing up is sooooo much fun. Here she is sporting a Sponge Bob Square Pants bathing suit (over her regular outfit) and topped off with a puffy vest and Daddy's belt. Watch out red carpet, here comes Zoey Michele.

my big girl

My mom and I took Zoey to get her hair cut for the first time this morning. We took her to Cool Cuts 4 Kids in Flower Mound. She did really well. When I first strapped her into her little seat...a vintage firetruck...she seemed really excited. But as the lady put on her smock, Zoey got very nervous and told me she was done. I stood next to her, hugged her and kissed her and she relaxed and allowed the lady to cut her hair into a very cute, shoulder-length bob. I can't believe how much older she looks. I can just see her going off to kindergarten...in 4 years.

In other news, I had my 12 week appointment today. I heard the baby's heartbeat, yea, and everything is great. I'm feeling sooooo much better than I did a few weeks ago. I'm hoping the afternoon/evening sickness has passed.

Pictures from Baby Leo's Birthday

Erika(in labor), Jenni and Zoey...somebody likes to be in the spotlight

I'm so proud of my seester(still in labor)!!!

Erika(no longer in labor), Josh and baby Leo

Precious little man...only a couple of hours old.

Little Leo being held my his Uncle Dave. This was taken 2 days after his birth just before the Wiese family got to go home.

Just a little side note for those who don't know. Leo was Erika's and my maiden name. Since my parents only had girls, the name died with us. Erika and Josh decided to carry on the name. What an honor to the Leo family.
