Life With Four

This picture was taken right after we had Sam. They were watching a little show while having a snack and it was so peaceful. I just stood back, watched them and my heart was bursting with love for them.

Zoey...such a big girl holding her brother
Ruby...I love that she has a tutu on under her sundress
Maggie...wants to sit on the couch & has to have a granola bar just like her sisters
Sam...he has no idea how loved he is

Erika saves the day!!!

The other day I walked past our Christmas tree and saw Zoey's 'Baby's 1st Christmas' ornament broken on the floor. We were heartbroken. We both sat together on the floor and cried. Ornaments are a BIG deal in our house. The kids get special ones each year and they LOVE looking through them and putting them on the tree each year. So we had a little cry fest and then talked about how it's just a "thing" and we can be thankful for so many other things. It's ok to be sad but we have to keep a healthy perspective.

I was debating about what to do next...should I try to fix it? replace it? do nothing? Fixing it was not possible so I purchased another glass ornament and debated about just writing "Baby's 1st Christmas" on it. But then my sister had a wonderful idea. She had seen on Pinterest about what to do with special broken ornaments. Zoey and I broke the rest of the ornament into tiny pieces and put them inside the new ornament I had purchased. So now she has all the pieces from her very first Christmas treasure inside a new ornament.
Great idea that saved the day!

Cribbs Thanksgiving 2012

Several years ago we started participating in the Dallas Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. It is, by far, my favorite family tradition. Over the years our family has grown and we end up pushing more and more strollers. This year was particularly special because Zoey walked the entire 5K. She did great and had a blast.

It's such a fun time celebrating Thanksgiving with my family and 40,000 strangers.

I love my mom sooooo much! She is the BEST Grammy ever and my kids absolutely adore her.

My favorite part of the Trot is when we get to
cruise down this street with all the skyscrapers.

Maggie needed to stretch her legs, too.

Everyone crashed at my folks house after the race
except for me and Zoey. We stayed up to watch the parade.

of the night she was tuckered out.

First Family Photo and Total Exhaustion

Normally I would never think of publishing less-than-flattering pictures of anyone in our family...especially me. But these were too funny and too "REAL" not to share.

Everyone smile.

Take two...more like take twenty-two.

Not my finest moment, but it sure does show you how completely exhausted I felt.

I'm so glad I could share the REAL Cribbs Family with you!
